What is the difference between MeCard and vCard?

Both save a contact. MeCard is shorter and holds the basics: name, phone, email, website, address and a note. vCard is the wider standard with company, job title and more fields, but it makes a denser code.

Do iPhones read MeCard QR codes?

Yes. The iPhone Camera app and Android cameras recognize MeCard and offer to add a new contact.
