One code, the right page for every visitor
Add rules to a dynamic QR code or short link: French speakers get the French menu, iPhones go to the App Store, evening visitors see dinner. Everyone else gets your default page.

This demo runs in your browser. Real rules can also use device type, country, days of the week, date windows, visit limits and A/B splits.
Nine ways to choose a page
Combine conditions in one rule: they must all match. Put the most specific rules first.
| Condition | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Device | Mobile, tablet or desktop |
| Operating system | iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux |
| Country | Where the visitor is, from their network |
| Language | The browser's language, like fr or de |
| Time of day | Opening hours, including overnight windows, in your time zone |
| Days of the week | Weekdays, weekends or any set of days |
| Date window | Start and end dates for a campaign |
| Visit limit | Only the first visitors, e.g. the first 100 |
| A/B split | 2 to 4 pages with your percentages |
What people route
Menus by language
Tourists scan the same table code and see the menu in their own language.
App or website
Phones with the app open it on the right screen; everyone else gets the website.
Opening hours
Outside opening hours, send visitors to booking or delivery instead.
Launch dates
Show a teaser until launch day, then the shop, then a “sold out” page after the window.
A/B tests
Split visitors 50/50 between two landing pages and compare clicks per version.
First 100 visitors
A giveaway for the first scans, a thank-you page after.
Add routing in a minute
Open a code or link
In your dashboard, open any dynamic QR code or short link and find Smart routing.
Add rules
Pick conditions and a destination for each rule, and order them. Set the default page for everyone else.
Check with the simulator
Describe a test visitor and see which rule they'd get and why. Then save: printed codes use it straight away.
Questions people ask
Smart routing
What is contextual routing?
Sending people who open the same QR code or link to different pages depending on their device, place, language or the time.
Which items can have rules?
Dynamic QR codes, hosted pages and short links, on Pro, Lifetime and Business.
What happens if two rules match?
The first one from the top wins. Visitors who match no rule go to your default destination.
How does the A/B split decide?
Each visitor is assigned a version by chance, in your percentages. Clicks are recorded per version so you can compare them.
Can I test rules before printing?
Yes. The simulator in the dashboard shows which rule a visitor with the details you choose would get, and why the others didn't match.
Does routing slow the redirect?
No. Rules are checked on the server in the same step as the redirect.
