Keep contrast high
Dark code on a light background works everywhere. Light on dark works on most phones; we warn you when contrast is too low.
Logo under 35%
Error correction can rebuild up to 30% of a code. Keep logos small and check the scan result.
Leave the quiet zone
Scanners need a blank margin around the code. Four modules is the standard; don't crop it off in your layout.

Custom QR codes
Will a custom design still scan?
We read your code with a real QR decoder after every change, and only show “Verified” when the result matches what you entered. Shapes and logos raise error correction automatically.
Is it free?
Yes. Every shape, color, frame, logo and template is free with PNG, JPG and WebP downloads. Pro adds vector files, 4096 px and batch.
Can I change the design after printing?
The design is printed, so it can't change. With a dynamic code you can change where it goes, which is usually what matters.
Can I use the files in Illustrator, Figma or Canva?
Yes. SVG, PDF and EPS (Pro) open in design tools and stay sharp at any size. PNG works everywhere.
Can I make the background transparent?
Yes, in the Color tab. PNG, WebP, SVG and PDF keep the transparency; JPG gets a white background.
Do custom codes expire?
Static codes never expire, whatever the design. Dynamic codes work while your plan is active, and your free dynamic code works for good.
