Terms of service

Agreement

These terms apply when you use ScanMosaic (scanmosaic.com). ScanMosaic is operated by ScanMosaic, United Kingdom. Contact: [email protected]. By using the site you agree to these terms.

The service

We provide an online tool for creating QR codes. Free features may change. Paid features are described on the pricing page when you buy, including dynamic codes with scan statistics, AI art allowances, SVG export, 4096 px PNG export and batch generation.

Dynamic codes

Dynamic codes redirect through our short links while your Pro plan is active, plus 14 days after it ends. After that, scans show a 'paused' page until you renew. You must not point dynamic codes at unlawful, misleading, phishing or malicious content. We may disable any code that does, without notice. Deleting a code stops it working permanently.

AI art

AI images are produced by a third-party model from your description. You're responsible for your descriptions and for how you use the results. We test-scan every image, but AI images are harder to scan than standard codes, so always test before printing. Monthly AI allowances reset on the 1st and don't roll over. If a generation fails, the credit is returned.

Your content

You're responsible for what you encode and for any logos you upload. Don't use the service to create codes that link to unlawful, fraudulent, phishing or malicious content, or that infringe anyone's rights. Codes you create are yours to use, including commercially.

Pro plans and payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. Monthly plans renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the customer portal linked on our pricing section or in your receipt email; you keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Lifetime plans are a one-off payment for Pro access for as long as the service operates.

Digital content and cancellation

Pro is unlocked immediately after payment. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you agree to immediate access and acknowledge that the statutory 14-day right to cancel ends once access starts. This doesn't affect our voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee described on our refunds page.

Your account

Keep access to your email account secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Workspace owners decide who joins their workspace and what each member can do, and are responsible for their members' use of it. You can sign out every device from Settings.

Scanning

We test-scan codes with a software decoder, but we can't guarantee every phone or app will read every design in every condition. Always test codes on real devices before printing. We're not liable for printing costs.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Questions: [email protected].

Hosted pages, files and forms

You can host pages, files and forms with us within your plan's storage. You must own or have permission to use everything you upload or publish, and keep it accurate: for example, allergen information on menus and the terms of coupons you offer are your responsibility, and you must honour your own offers. If your form collects personal data, you are responsible for doing so lawfully, including telling people how you'll use it. Don't ask for passwords, payment card numbers, government ID numbers or health information through hosted forms.

Don't use hosted pages for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful, including phishing, malware, impersonation, hate, harassment, sexual content involving minors, or content that infringes someone's rights. We may remove content, disable codes or close accounts that break these terms, and we may report illegal content to the authorities.

Reporting illegal or harmful content

Every hosted page has a 'Report this page' link. You can also email [email protected] with the page's address and why you think it breaks the law or these terms. We review reports promptly, may disable the page while we look into it, and tell the page owner what we decided and why, unless the law or safety stops us. Owners who think we got it wrong can reply to that email to ask us to look again.

Other policies

These policies also apply: our acceptable use policy and the license and ownership terms. Business customers can rely on our data processing addendum, which lists our subprocessors. To report a code or link that breaks the rules, use our abuse report form.
